High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. I generally skip chain restaurants, but we came here for a quick dinner with the parents before a concert in Southaven. I only ordered a house salad, so I can't give a huge opinion. I was going to ask that they leave off the bacon. Not necessary because it came sans bacon anyway. I didn't mind, but my dinner companions missed it. Other than that they seemed pleased and my husband liked his wrap. He said it would have been dry had he not requested some honey mustard to dip it in. Service was fine and we made it to our concert in time.

The service sucked. We had a party of 8 and you would just expect better treatment. Maybe because it's the holiday weekend and most of the team was not at work. I could of spent my $100+ elsewhere

Ive been here before. Its been a while. Its becoming seedy. Boith seats torn. Menus with food stuck on them. The place is about 60 percent full and we gave been waiting 45 min for food. We wont be back. Update. We finally got our food. I had fish and chips. Very greasy and some of the fish eas mushy and smelled. Now we are finished an have been waiting 15 min trying to get our check.!!

First off we were seated quickly. As for our waiter well let's say he was missing in action. A young lady and I wish I got her name took it open her self to help us. We even talked to the manager just sayin that was a waste of my time.

Sat at the bar. To start off could tell the bar tender HATES her job no smile on her face or anything. If you hate your life that's fine but you chose this job and this is how you make tips, SMILE!! Then that awful attitude led to awful service you could everyone at the bar wasn't happy. So save yourself the trouble go somewhere else.

Very aggravating. Can't get refills. My burger pictured in the menu had bacon, onions, and pickes. The one that came out had none. I asked the lady who gave it to me about it and she said they were seared inside. They were not. Not worth my time.

I went to this restaurant at 5:00 on a Monday evening. There were about 5 other tables of customers. I was seated and waited almost 10 minutes, no one ever came to the table. I wasn't the only one. A couple other tables seated after me had the same problem. Very frustrating! I decided if they couldn't even greet me in a reasonable amount of time that waiting on food would be a huge waste of time. I left.

Horrible service. The manager was our server. We didn't gwt any refills. Our drinks were horrible. It took almost an hour for us to get our checks. One of the worst experiences I've every encountered.

I don't write reviews but the service at this establishment warranted it. No greeter when I arrived. Waited 5 minutes just standing there and decided to seat myself. What I assume was the greeter walked past me a minimum of 8 times before I finally stopped him and asked for a menu. He brought one to the table and dropped it. About 30 minutes later a lady that I assume is a manager stopped by my table to tell me that the section I am in is closed and then asked me what I would like to drink. You would think that since she took my drink order it must be OK to sit here. BTW I seated myself in the front row 3 booths away from the door. I have now been here for 45 minutes and she just returned to take my order. I guess I will see how long it takes for the food to arrive. I don't normally eat at Applebee's but I got a gift card for my birthday. Don't plan on coming back.

It's just another Applebee's. On this visit we were greeted promptly by a very friendly hostess, who offered to seat us in the coolest section of the restaurant because of the heat today. Much appreciated! Our server was efficient in taking our orders, but not overly friendly. Not unfriendly... just... eh. The food came quickly and was okay. I ordered from the Choose Any Two menu. The 4 oz sirloin was supposed to be medium-rare, but was medium-well... bordering on well done. That's almost forgivable because it has to be hard to grill a 4 oz steak! The other part of my combo was the Garlic Rosemary Chicken Pasta. Again, a small portion. Bland. Chicken was dry. Not a bit of rosemary flavor. I wouldn't order it again. Another member of our party ordered the Green Goddess Wedge Salad and is still raving about how good it was. No real raves. Food was pretty standard Applebee's fare. I'm sure we'll be back, but it's not the best food in town.

Delicious as all ways but, very slow service we were there 1 hour and 20 min most of that time we were waiting. It wasn't very busy at all and the waitress that was supposed to serve us just ignored us. I will never ever come back here!!!!!!

  • Rick C.

It should not take 20 minutes to get a caeser salad when you one of only 2 patrons at the bar for lunch. Bartender (older dark headed lady) routinely tells you it's not her fault, she can't do everything. I will agree...her taking to go orders, and delivering them to the curb, when there are 4 servers standing in the waitress station is wrong, but no one seems to car. 45 minutes there, and I never got a single refill on my tea.

  • Chain B.

Dropped in here today for lunch because someone gave my wife a gift card for her birthday. It wasn't busy and we were seated immediately. Then, we waited. And waited. And Waited. .After about 10 minutes of being actively ignored by the wait staff, we left and walked across the lot to Burger King next door. We passed 3 waiters/waitresses, who were standing around chatting, on the way out and they ignored us then too. WTF!?!?

We went for my husband's birthday and it was awful. It took a long time to get our food. My son and husband got their food and it was over-cooked...rubber band shrimp. My husband and son were almost done when I finally got my food. This was the worst Applebee's we've been to. I won't be going back to this one.

Actually went there to watch UFC 126 fight night & get an appetizer. Ordered a meal for me & my finance with wine. Great food, phenomenal manager & hostess. Service was a bit slow but only because of the crowd. I will go back there more often!!

We got to the location a little before 5 pm and looked over the menu. They were no very busy at all. It took over 25 minutes to get entrees, we did not order apps. The server was very nice and provided excellent service, it was the kitchen that was the problem. She explained we came on at shift changethat was the reason for the delay she went back to the kitchen to find out how long it would be to get our order. She let the manager no we were not happy. When we got our order the meat was done correctly but the sides that came with it were almost non existent. The manager finally came to our table before we left and offered to comp our meal. I explained we were not looking for a free meal, we just wanted to let him know he had issues with his kitchen. I tipped our server well and left. Before we left the manager asked us to come back and give them wither try, since we was going to address the issues I raised. We will give them 1 more chance.

Applebees closed & re-opened I guess under different ownership. We had quit eating before the close. Decided to give them another chance recently. Much better! We've been back several times & the food's been good. The 2 for $20 is a good deal.
